My Watercolors

I’m gonna talk a bit about the watercolors I love to use. I started learning and practicing watercolors in 2006, been loving it since then!

الحين بتكلم عن أنواع الألوان المائية الي عندي. أول مرة استعملت الألوان المائية بضمير كان ب سنة 2006.. و من ذاك اليوم وأنا أحبهم.

These Daler-Rowney watercolors were my first real watercolors.. I still use them and they’re still far from running out. But there are some colors (a green and a brown) that just won’t get dilluted with water! I don’t know what’s their problem.

I got these from Dasman Complex (Kuwait)

أول ألوان مائية شريتهم اسمهم Daler-Rowneyليلحين استعملهم و أحبهم وايد و بعدهم مطولين على ما يخلصون. بس في لونين مادري ليش ما يذوبون بالماي! درجة من الأخضر و درجة من البني.. مادري شنو مشكلتهم.

Then I bought these cotman watercolors tubes because I was so curious about them. There isn’t much of a difference between the tubes and the regular ones in my opinion, except that since the tubes are already liquid-y, they can be used for more intense coloring faster without having to wait for the colors to get dilluted with water. When the colors dry on the palette, they turn into the exact same thing as the regular ones, just not in little square pans.

و بعدين شريت هالألوان اسمهم Cotman من نوع العصارات الي تنضغط. كان عندي فضول عن الفرق بين النوعين بس بصراحة ما حسيت بفرق وايد كبير.. بس إن اللون تكون كثافتة أكثر لان اللون يكون ذايب و جاهز للاستعمال بسرعة بدون الحاجة الى الانتظار على ما يذوب مع الماي. من ينشف اللون على الباليت يصير بالضبط نفس الألوان المائية العادية الي شكلها مستطيل.. يعني تقدرون تحطون عليهم ماي و تردون تستعملونهم

the watercolors on the palette. this one shows the color fresh out of the tube. الألوان على الباليت.. جذي صاير اللون أول ما يطلع من العصارة

this one shows the colors dry, and how it’s like after putting water on it to dillute it again. و جذي شكله لما ينشف.. و لما تردون تذوبونه بالماي

And then I saw this super adorable tiny set of cotman watercolors in pans. They’re just perfect! except that this set does not include a black… solution is easy: get a black watercolor tube and squeeze a bit on the other side.

شفت هالألوان بجرير و ماقدرت أقاوم! نفس ماركة الألوان الي قبل  Cotmanبس النوع العادي مو العصارات… عجيبين! المشكلة الوحيدة ان مافيه أسود.. بس الحل سهل: اشتروا لون مائي أسود من العصارات و حطوه على الباليت على جنب

this is the black watercolor that I put on the palette side using the tube from the previous set. و هذا اللون الأسود الي حطيته على الباليت

using a toothbrush in paintings

I’m gonna show you all how I use a toothbrush in my paintings! it makes some awesome effects and I really suggest that u try this out. Just get any old toothbrush (make sure it’s clean though!), put paint on it, then splatter it on the paper.
بوريكم شلون استخدم فرسة الاسنان برسوماتي. هالطريقة تعطي تأثيرات عجيبة و انصحكم تجربونها. اخذوا أي فرشة قديمة بس تأكدوا انها نظيفة و حطوا اللون عليها و طشروه على الورقة.

in this quick example I’m using my Daler-Rowney watercolors.. first I’m using a blue/green color dilluted with a lot of water.. splattered it as shown in the pic
بـ هالمثال السريع استخدمت الوان مائية. أول شي خذيت لون أزرق على اخضر و كان فيه وايد ماي و طشرته مثل ما الصور توضح.

 

 

then to show u how to play more with it, I added a yellow with less water.
بعدين حطيت لون أصفر بس ما خلطت معاه وايد ماي, عشان أوريكم شلون ممكن تلعبون بالتأثير هذا.

these are examples of how I applied it in my drawings. I used it to create this blood stains effects using watercolors, and to create a starry sky look using a white acrylic.
و هذي امثلة على تطبيق التأثير هذا برسوماتي. استعملته عشان اسوي تأثيرات بقع دم بألوان مائية, و عشان أسوي مثل نجوم على السماء بلون أكريلك أبيض.

my desk p.1 stuff on my table top

hey everyone!
I’m gonna show you all how I arrange my desk and clean it in 3 parts. part 1 would be about the table or the desk top, part 2 about the drawers, and part 3 how I clean the color stains and splatters (and this is really important for me since my desk is white!)
I bought this desk from Pottery Barn in the Avenues summer 2011
so lets’s start with part 1.

السلام عليكم! بوريكم طاولتي للرسم و طريقتي في تنظيم الاشياء عليها و التخزين والتنظيف ب ثلاث اجزاء. الجزء الأول عن الطاولة من فوق, الثاني عن الادراج (اليرارات), الثالث عن طريقتي لتنظيف بقع الألوان وهالشي وايد مهم بالنسبة لي لان أثاثي ابيض و يبين عليه البقع بسهولة.

here is a picture of how my desk looks like. I love all the colorful cups and cute stuff to keep my desk looking nice and inviting. I keep my danbo figure and his little lamp friend on the desk all the time.. I still need to name them though!

هذي صورة طاولتي. احب الأكواب الملونة والأشياء الكيوت عشان يصير شكل الطاولة يشجع على الرسم والشغل. على طول اخلي دانبو المصباح الصغير هني.. بس ليلحين ما عطيتهم أسامي

cup of inking pens. I keep the types that I use the most in here. I’ll make a post about my favorite ones.
كوب أقلام الحبر. أحط أنواعي المفضلة هني.. راح اكتب شنو اهم الأنواع بعدين

cup of brushes. I really don’t have a certain favorite brand! I use whatever I find.

كوب الفرش. ما عندي نوع معين مفضل! استخدم أي شي عندي

cup of water. on my desk all the time! because I’m too lazy to go fill it up when I want to paint. I change the water every few days.
كوب الماي. على طول موجود على طاولتي لان مالي خلق اترسه كل ما بغيت الون. بس ابدل الماي كل جم يوم

cups of random cute pens. I never use those! they’re mainly gifts and I like to just have them there.
أكواب أقلام عشوائية. كلش ما استخدمهم! اغلبيتهم هدايا او شاريتهم من بره.. بس احب شكلهم

cup of pencils. I never use these anymore I think I should get rid of them. ah well.
كوب اقلام رصاص… كنت استعملهم بس الحين ماحبهم. شكلي لازم اقطهم.

a tiny plush toy with needles stuck on its head.. ouch! I use needles for preparing packages for shipments and for some doll related stuff.
لعبة صغيرة عليها ابر خياطة. استعملهم حق تجهيز كراتين الشحن اذا بعت لعبة او اشياء ثانية لها علاقة بالالعاب.

I keep my copic markers on the desk as well. I love how they look.
احب اخلي الوان الكوبيك ماركرز جذي لان شكلهم حلو ويشوقون للرسم.

in here I keep my erasers and sharpeners. pink one has the erasers I use, black one is sharpeners, green one is erasers I do not use.
وهني اخلي المساحات والبرايات. الجزء الوردي فيه مساحات استخدمهم, الاسود برايات, والأخضر مساحات ما استخدمهم.

some post-its and notes.
أوراق صغيرة للملاحظات

a box that has business cards.
وقوطي صغير فيه بطاقات المحلات والناس.

and the video camera is always on the stand ready for recording whenever I want to.
و هذي كامرة الفيديو. على طول جذي على الستاند عشان اصور شغلي متى ما بغيت.
